A friend of mine and I were talking last night and a thought I had back in my history studying days came to light.
American's live in the longest ruled democracy in the world's history. It will not last forever. I hate this thought but it is true. I am concerned for my grandchildren and their children and grandchildren after them.
We are not special because we are Americans. We are targets because of the freedom this democracy offers. It, our democracy, will not last.
However, as I have said before, this world is not my home. I am thankful to have lived through some of the best years of this countries existence. I just pray that it doesn't ever end or at least till God comes back.
